Truck risen by a passionate
Octavio's Berna

Ever since he discovered the shell of a swiss truck Berna in an amazonian village, his obsession is to make it live again.
Right away, he proceeds to an inventory : A bunch of hens lives in the cock-pit, some plants in the rimes and a boa constrictor in the chassis but under the cover, the engine seems undamaged.

Within a month, Octavio and his friend, a mechanic, clean up the engine and build up again the cock-pit.
Miracously-spelling, while they are pulling out the Berna with a tractor, two of the pistons start working again.
It takes three long years of search to recover all the missing pieces :
The mudguards were buried in a farm, the winch used for a fisher's boat... Even some bolts ended up in the box of a brazilian mechanic !

Like a perfectionnist, almost like a maniac, Octavio sands, paints and reassembles the initial pieces one by one.
With a bright new look, the Berna is the pride of its village.
And its joy, to whether the townband needs a ride or the school needs moving, Octavio is the one summoned.

Today, sunday, at 6:00 pm, face in the wind and elbow resting out the window, Octavio Villa is driving back from Tabatinga.
« Margarita » his boa, is sleeping on his shoulders.
So with a cautious motion, he presses the horn which rings like a foghorn.
Then, he bursts out laughing, the laugh of a happy man.
